John Houghton -Rest In Peace

Posted 29th July 2024

Some sad news . John Houghton passed away last Monday. John played 297 games for the Old Wilsonians Football club & scored 10 goals . He served as honorary secretary & also team secretary . We had many a chat friday night as we chased down players for the saturday. John was a doer . He would sort out the post match meals via his staff canteen , he would also make certain all the shirts across the club were washed every week.

I always found John approachable and affable , he would always help where possible & will be sady missed. Our condolences go out to his son Dan & the rest of the family .

His funeral will take place at Beckenham Crematorium at 11am on 23rd August.
