Congartulations to Neil Kendrick who is the new Old Wilsonians Association President for the next 2 years . Neil has like his predecessor Doug Forbes has been part of our club since birth . His father Mike was a keen cricketer & footballer (also a former President) & mum Anne a very good tennis player (see the tennis honours board ) both met at the club , so the club is in his blood !

I first noticed our new President when he was one and had just started to walk . Both Mike & my old man asked Doug & my goodself to look after him while they were playing cricket & i can remember thinking wow a real life toy . Luckily he survived & for the next decade we played every saturday and sunday up the club . Neil went onto play 1st XI football for OWFC & County Cricket for both Surrey & Glamorgan , so not a bad sportsman . Over the years Neil has been ground manager , worked closely with the football club, set up a football colts section that now has over 20 teams. He & his young family can be seen at the club most weekends enjoying Hayes . Its uncanny how it goes full circle !

As we continue to evolve Neil is in the perfect position to continue to move us as a club forward . Well deserved & hope you enjoy the honour.

Alex
