OWFC Newsletter No. 1584

With all teams except the 5s in action on Saturday there was plenty of action on offer, with mixed outcomes. The 1s and 2s were both in action against NUFC Oilers with our first team winning 2-1, while the 2s had a double header, losing one and drawing the other.

Meanwhile the 4s and 7s both had the pleasure of travelling to West London to take on Acton. The journey home would have been enjoyable for the 7s who managed a 2-1 win, but not so enjoyable for the 4s who suffered a 5-3 defeat.

Elsewhere the 3s managed to grab a point and the 6s got a rare win in one of their games against Merton (the second result wasn’t available at the time of publishing). The 8s made another trip to their second home of Chiswick, but the wheels seem to have come off the promotion bus as they suffered two defeats to Ibis Eagles effectively ending hopes of promotion. The 9s also faced a double header against Polytechnic but they also suffered two defeats.

The Super Vets were also in action on Sunday morning in a charity friendly game, defeating Sutcliffe Corkers 4-2.

Quick reminder that tickets are now on sale for the end of season dinner so don’t miss your chance to be part of what will be an enjoyable end to the season.

As always good luck to all those in action this coming weekend
