Dartford 260 for 8, Old Wilsonians 152 for 9

When you are desperate for points to avoid relegation the last thing you want is for a former player to come back and haunt you, but this is exactly what happened in this game as Dartford's Malinda Thotiwilage hit an unbeaten 130 not out and then went on to hold three catches and take a wicket against Old Wilsonians, the side he played for just twelve months ago He shared in a third wicket partnership of 113 with Garry Cook (36) and then one of 58 with John Smyth (30) to see his side finish on an imposing 260 for 8 The OWs needed a solid start if they were to gain the win that would secure their Second Division status but slumped to 58 for 6 in a game that was interrupted by rain, which ultimately meant that its result came within the 'incomplete' category but, before the end, the last four wickets battled hard to put on 94, Matt Golding top scoring with 56 and Jon Rodda leading the rearguard action with 30 not out , with Max Luckett taking 4 for 33 for the hosts Old Wilsonians need 5 points from their last game of the season next week, whilst Orpington, the only other side who can be relegated, need to win their remaining fixture to avoid Division Three cricket in 2020. And who are their respective opponents? They play........each other!

St Lawrence and Highland Court 2nd Xl 230 for 6, Old Wilsonians' 2nd Xl 161

Sometimes your destiny is settled elsewhere, and so it proved for Old Wilsonians' 2nd Xl for, with Catford and Cyphers 6 wicket defeat at The Mote, they can look forward to Second Division cricket next season - and commiserations to the Rubens Street based Club St Lawrence and Highland Court, on the other hand, have loftier aspirations and this 69 run victory sees them just four points behind Old Colfeians in the battle to accompany champions Bexleyheath into Division One next year On this occasion they were indebted to a century from Alex Cotter (109) and James Fowle (40) for the majority of their runs with Siva Ranjan, 2 for 19 and Andrew Pomering, 2 for 28 being the most impressive of the OW bowlers The visitors had to work hard for their 10 wickets and it took them all of their 50 overs, Sanath Dandeniya (69) in particular defying them, but thanks to Daniel Sadler, 3 for 24, Kit Sims, 2 for 22 and James Fowle, 2 for 10 they had the satisfaction of bowling their hosts out Next week they entertain Linden Park for that crucial game whilst Old Wilsonians visit Colfeians - St Lawrence and Highland Court will be looking to this week’s vanquished to do them a favour!

Bromley 3rd Xl 244 for 2, Old Wilsonians' 3rd Xl 167 for 5

After losing two early wickets, Bromley 3rd Xl then took complete control of this game as Adiya Kunar (100 n.o) and Andrew Sear (126 n.o) shared in a massive and unbeaten third wicket stand In reply the OW batsmen offered some sterling performances - Josh Holland (45), Jeff Mascerenhas (21), Dan Nichols (45 n.o) and Ollie Willis (25), but that third wicket stand from the visitors would have required a super human effort for their run chase to be successful and it was not forthcoming

Old Wilsonians' 4th Xl 199 for 6, Orpington 4th Xl 200 for 9

This was a nail biting affair with Orpington winning from the last ball of the game with just one wicket to spare, due to the club captain impersonating a seal as the oppo ran 3 runs on a ground its nearly impossible to run 2 !!!.  Old Wilsonians batted first and but for a fourth wicket stand between Neil Treacher (83) and Josh Merchant (51) they would have left Orpington chasing a small total The latter then lost two early wickets but Ivan Richardson (45) and Jai Manchaldore (28) put them back on track but, ultimately, they had to rely on their lower order batsmen, Ben McCraken (40) amd Harry Board (33 n.o) to achieve their victory.

Old Wilsonians Sunday Development side 194 for 5, Linden Park 64

Old Wilsonians ended their season in fine style with a comprehensive win over Libden Park
Batting first they scored 194 for 5 from their 35 overs, Velson Devarajulu (21), Syd Sherlock (44), Dan Seston (63) and Elliott Bettridge (29 n,o) all looking in fine form
The Linden Park reply never got going, with only Andy Speer (10) and Dan Corner (12) making it to the dizzy heights of double figures as Robbie Adams, 5 for 12 and Andrew Pomering, 3 for 5 ripped their batting apart
