Old Wilsonians 2nd XI 187 for 6, Broadstairs 2nd XI 153 All Out - Old Wilsonians win by 34 Runs
Having lost the toss, the home team faced a sticky first hour as Broadstairs reduced them to 28-4. However, some excellent batting from Chris Scott (93 not out) and Louis Pryor (50) with a 5th wicket partnership of 124 turned the innings on its head as they ended on a very respectable 187 with Bradley Ellison claiming excellent figures of 4-15 of his 15 overs. Broadstairs began their chase with intent and got off to a flyer but were subsequently dragged back with some tight seam bowling from Doug Forbes (4-25) pushing the game back in OWs favour. Tom Sullivan (4-43) bowled an excellent second spell and some smart catches from Cameron Jones, Dave Pilgrim, Siva Sivaranjan and Rob McEwen towards the end of the innings that was held together by Luke Palmer (57) meant a 34 run win and a great all round team effort that takes them to second place in the table.View Scorecard

Sunday Friendly XI 248 Offham 200 All out - Sunday Friendly XI win by 48 runs!
The Sunday Xl maintained their 100% record for the season in a high scoring game against Offham. In a total of 248, Matt Abbett hit yet another century, this time 103, with Nick Morley hitting an encouraging 51 as all nine of the visiting bowlers toiled but with little reward. Offham soon demonstrated that they were up for the chase with Sam Ward (46), Ben Gittings (28) and Tim Evans (48) all scoring well, but OW skipper Tony Sherlock always had an ace up his sleeve – namely himself – and when he came on to bowl the visitors had no answer to his immaculate bowling skills as he finished with 3 for 22 to seal yet another victory!
