2019 Cricket week

Old Boys Events  •  Posted 10th July 2019

As the World Cup draws to a conclusion and ahead of the battle of all cricketing battles that is the Ashes, the summer continues at Hayes Hill with Cricket Week now only days away!

Full details of matches are advertised elsewhere (have you passed your availability to Dave Welch or added your name to the availability sheets in the clubhouse?), but there are three highlights that we wish to draw your attention to.

Jasper Gundry-White, invites you to join him for a T20 tournament on Sunday 21st July for President’s Day where his XI (captained by Michael Mitchell) is being challenged by the Chairman’s XI (skippered by Josh Holland) and the Club Captain’s XI (led by Syd Sherlock) for bragging rights on the Hill. Proceedings commence at 10.30am – have you indicated your attendance to Jasper or to Mike Pike as yet?

Join us for a Special Event on Thursday 25th July as we welcome our friends and neighbours from Bromley Common and OD Cuaco in a round robin T20 tournament. A Champagne Breakfast will be served from 9.30am, and alongside the feast of cricket enjoy a lunch and post-match curry as supplied by our sponsors Ginger’s. Tickets are £40 for the day, please speak to Graham Watts (07956-462685) or Jeff Mascarenhas (07967-484634) to reserve your space.

Finally, the Cricket Week Raffle is now live – lots of prizes available including £500 cash for the outright winner. Think that’s too good to be true? Speak to Steve Lawrence now - or any of his colleagues behind the bar - to purchase your tickets!

Of course the bar is open all week! We look forward to seeing you.

Best wishes
The OWCC Committee
